  • February 22, 2024
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
  • Virtual

Ensuring that the American public receives public services and program delivery informed by the best data and evidence has been a growing endeavor for years. As more examples abound about the successes of applying data and evidence in policy and day-to-day decision-making, join the Data Foundation for a virtual event to explore the efforts to improve storytelling across the field. As we increasingly move beyond anecdotes to highlight real cases of evidence-informed decision-making and policymaking from around the United States we invite participants to consider their own examples and successes.

During the event, speakers will address:

  • Community Action: Real examples where evidence-informed decision-making that grew out of community interaction and led to improved health outcomes.

  • Decisions from Big Data: Analytics from large administrative datasets and secure data sharing can lead to breakthroughs in actionable knowledge.

  • Improving Communication: Strategies for improving how the field describes its successes for peers, policymakers, and the public.
